spacer Veterans Memorial Park We are delighted to have your interest in our town. Quoted as the "incarnate Mayberry", Broadway carries a unique sense of timelessness. Simple, convenient, and friendly are some characteristics to describe our town...our community.

Nestled south of Sanford along the Lee / Harnett County line, Broadway was formed in the late 1800's by early settlers coming to the area to distill turpentine, due to the plentitude of pine trees. At that time there was a post office that catered to Harnett and Moore County (some of which is now Lee County). Later farming grew to become the predominant industry of the area. To this day, farming still plays a large role.

Broadway has become a mecca for those who want the quiet, compassionate ways of a small community. Yet, Broadway is experiencing growth of many quality housing developments and small businesses to help make this town an even better place to shop and do business.

We hope that this site provides you with helpful information about the town of Broadway and all it has to offer its visitors and future residents.
